Our lives are interwoven with others. We need space yet we require others. We need love and we need to be loved however autonomous we become. Loneliness is not an exclusively human experience but it is a fearfully powerful one. I wrote this blues song at a particularly difficult time. HAVE YOU GOT THE CURE?

I’m so lonely but there’s no cure

This emptiness has got me, it’s so cruel

I’m tied, and I’m tried, and I’m hanged if I can find

This love that I long for

I saw the signs but I turned away

I had control but I lost it again

My heart will burst and I’m sure that I’m cursed

To live a life without the love I crave

How can you be lonely,

When you’re in a crowd?

When you’re face is smiling, you ‘ got friends around?

How can you be low when you’re popular?

I’ got the symptoms have you got the cure?

I’ got the symptoms have you got the cure?

I feel depressed and I’m wrecked inside

I feel depressed and I'm wrecked inside

I feel depressed and I’m wrecked inside

The future for me seems cut and dried

Love I thought was a participation sport

I fought hard but love ain’t on my side

How can you be lonely,

When you’re in a crowd?

When you’re face is smiling, you ‘ got friends around?

How can you be low when you’re popular?

I’ got the symptoms have you got the cure?

I’ got the symptoms have you got the cure?
